Trafalgar FyreBOARD Maxilite 60mm


Maxilite is a lightweight, high performance fire rated board. Maxilite is a calcium silicate based product and is bonded together with non-organic binders. It is completely free from asbestos, volatile organic compounds (VOC\u2019s) and ozone depleting potential (ODP). Maxilite is an extremely effective insulating refractory board. The board is stable under high temperature stress and remains strong and crack free, even when exposed to fully developed fires.


Due to the lightweight construction of the board, Maxilite is easy to handle and work with, ensuring quick onsite installation, whilst retaining suitable fire performance. Maxilite\u2019s high fire performance ensures minimal thicknesses are required, hence less material usage and cost.

BOSS Fire Rated Batts

BOSS Batts are designed to provide simple and effective compartmentalisation and fire stopping in walls and floors.

BOSS Batts consist of high-density mineral fibre batt with an ablative fire resistant coating which can be used in conjunction with other high performance BOSS fire protection products to provide excellent integrity, thermal and acoustic insulation. The BOSS Batts prevent the passage of fire between compartment walls and floors whilst still allowing the insulation of services. BOSS Batts offer undoubtedly a cost-effective and simplest solution to cavity barriers, sealing wall and floor penetrations for up to FRL -/240/180.

They are a lightweight mineral fibre board that can be easily cut to size on site for simple friction fit applications. Simply push it in to place to fit the aperture and seal the perimeter with FireMastic-300\u2122 fire rated sealant or our specially designed Ablative Coating for bonding Batts to Substrates. For higher insulation performance on services the addition of BOSS products such as P40-MAK Wrap or Thermal Defence Wrap may be used.

BOSS Batts are suitable for use in any building which has single or multiple services penetrating fire rated compartment walls and floors.

Typical installations are:

BOSS Batts has a wide variety of approvals including AS1530.4: 2014, AS1530.4: 2005 & AS4072.1. Approved applications include firestopping blank openings, linear gap seals a wide variety of service penetrations from plumbing, electrical and HVAC trades. BOSS Batts are most commonly used as a system in conjunction with a suite of BOSS Fire products such as FireMastic-300\u2122, P40-MAK Wrap, MaxiCollars\u2122, UniWrap\u2122, BOSS FyreBox\u2122, FireSilicone-EMA\u2122 & Thermal Defence Wrap. PROMASEAL\u00ae Bulkhead Sealer System is made using high density mineral wool that is coated with an ablative coating. The coated mineral wool remains in-situ during a fire situation and forms a barrier against the passage of flame, smoke and toxic gases.

The system is the simplest of all fire stopping products to install. It is also one of, if not the most economical product to use. It can be installed in both concrete/masonry floors and walls (with an equal or greater fire resistance level) and has been tested up to 120 minutes with various penetrating services.

Each PROMASEAL\u00ae Bulkhead Sealer System batt is 1200 x 600 x 50mm and are supplied pre-coated to both faces.
